Aisha Jamila Hinds, an American actress who is best famous for her performances in TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003 she has demonstrated her range in acting performing outstandingly in TV shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 as well as Under the Dome. The first time she was noticed was for her role as Anna in the film Assault on Precinct 13. However, it was her performance as Fannie Lou (a woman's advocate for women's right to rights) in the biographical All the Way film that made her famous as an actor. Hind's portrayal as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's period drama Underground was also highly appreciated. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for the third season. Hind recently wrapped up shooting on the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which is scheduled to be released around the middle of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj died in March 2017 after a long career as a scientist for the Indian Army. Vrinda, her mother is a housewife. Aditya Rai, the older brother is a marine merchant engineer. The younger brother of Bachchan Aditya Rai co-produced Dil Ka Rishta and wrote the script along with Bachchan. Arya Vidya Mandir School was her school of choice in Mumbai following her move there together with the family. Jai Hind College was her last intermediate institution before joining D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga. The college scored 91% on her H.S.C. exams. She took classical music classes and dance for five years throughout her teenage years. Zuology was her favorite subject. Bachchan was a student at architecture in 1994, when she was named Miss World. This title launched her to the forefront of modeling. In addition, she was offered an impressive contract with L'Oreal Paris as spokesmodel in 2003. The year 1997 was the time she starred in two celebrated role: Iruvar and Aur pyaar hogaia. Bachchan was thrust into the front of New Bollywood after both films broke the traditional structure for Bollywood films of the time. Bachchan was crowned the Queen of New Bollywood due to her role in Devdas 2002, which was one of the most acclaimed Bollywood films. The film was also the first Bollywood film that was screened at Cannes Film Festival. In the following years the film, she was recognized for her performance as Chokher Bal (2003) the intense drama based off Rabindranathtagore's novel. The same year, she became the first Indian actress to be a member of the Cannes Film Festival jury. Bachchan starred in Gurinder Chatha's Bride and Prejudice. It was a dance and musical adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan's star power and beauty made her the perfect choice for the first English-language major film. In 2006, Bachchan returned to Bollywood by starring in the hit movie Dhoom: 2 before releasing Provoked: The True Story (2006). She married Abhishek Bachchan, co-star, who is the child of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. This marriage was a chance to bring two of India's most prominent personalities together.
