Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop-punk
band, was founded in 2009. The group consists of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow,
Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. In 2009 they signed with Nick Records
before moving to Columbia Records. The group was featured in Nickelodeon's
television show Big Time Rush. The show ran from November 28th the 29th of 2009
to July 25, 2013. The premiere episode introduced the group's first single for
promotion, "Big Time Rush". The group recorded three albums, BTR in
2010, Elevate , and 24/Seven in 2013. The band took an indefinite hiatus in the
year 2014 which lasted until 2021, when the group resumed live performances and
released the single "Call It Like I See It". Nickelodeon signed Big
Time Rush to a record deal in 2009 simultaneously with the tv show, Big Time
Rush. Nickelodeon also teamed up with Columbia/Epic Label Group for production
and music that is original. The series' first single, "Big Time Rush"
was released on November 29, 2009. The announcement was made by Nickelodeon,
the series was first broadcast in the U.S. in November 2009 up until the time
it was released worldwide. The song was played in a preview of the series for
one hour and is the show's first tune. The series also saw the release of
promotional singles such as "City is Ours" and "Any Kind of
Guy". Big Time Rush also performed a Play song called "Famous".
The song was released on iTunes on June 29th 2010. After the series' premiere
Another song, "Halfway There", was made available on iTunes on April
27 in 2010. They soon made it their first chart-topping song on the Billboard
Hot 100. It hit 93 on the list thanks to the digital sales. In order to promote
their debut album, Big Time Rush released "Till I Forget About You"
on September 21st, 2010. The album, titled BTR and released on October 11 10th,
2010. The album peaked at number 3 on Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies in
its first week.
