Mathew is her father. The mother of her, Tina, is of Louisiana Creole ancestry - mainly African and French and has ancestors from Louisiana as well as, prior to that, Canada. Beyonce is also 1/32 Irish and has distant Breton and Spanish, Indonesian and Chinese roots. According to reports, she has said that in order to overcome her shyness she developed an acting persona dubbed "Sasha".
