Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. Her birth date was November 11, 1966. She made her film debut as the Bond model with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she appeared as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Other roles include Siobhan Donavan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was asked by a photographer to model and began to model. She then developed a career of commercial modelling. Doody was adamantly against fashion, thongs and glamour during her modeling career. She was cast in a minor role as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill following the fact that she was spotted by the casting director. Doody was named one of the 12 most promising new Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody was still only aged 18 at the time of her debut in the Bond character. As of today, she is the youngest Bond girl. Another film from her early days had her in a minor role in the role of IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) in which she was a film starring Mickey Rourke. Doody appeared as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 TV version of The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading role of Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She also played as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody was a part of three actors who have portrayed James Bond. Doody was also cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). She was also scheduled to take on the role of lead for The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. The following year, she appeared as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. The 21st of November, 2018, she was awarded by the Almeria tierra de cine award as well as a star in Almeria Walk of Fame.
