Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was the Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix had an early aptitude for sports when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic potential at the moment. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks following her very first tryout. Felix completed high school in 2003, and was signed by Adidas an agreement as an athlete in professional competition. In the following year, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. The following year, Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top three in all her events.
